Electrical Technician
Job Description
We are currently hiring a skilled Electrical Power Systems Technician (or similar title like Power Equipment Designer/Technician) to join our dynamic team in Richmond, British Columbia (V6X 4B3 area). Position Details
- Job Type: Permanent, full-time employment
- Hours: 35 hours per week
- Wage: $34.50 per hour
- Work Location: On-site only (no remote work option available)

What You will.Be Doing
In this hands-on role, you will play a key part in the design, development, and maintenance of power equipment and electrical systems. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Designing and creating efficient power equipment and related systems to meet project requirements.
- Supporting the team by helping prepare accurate cost estimates, project timelines, detailed specifications, and technical reports.
- Overseeing or directly handling the installation, testing (commissioning), and ongoing operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
- Ensuring all work complies with safety standards, industry regulations, and quality benchmarks.
- Collaborating with colleagues to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and deliver reliable solutions for clients.
This position suits someone who enjoys a mix of technical design work and practical fieldwork, with opportunities to grow your expertise in power systems.
Qualifications We.are Looking For
- Education: A college diploma, CEGEP certificate, or equivalent non-university qualification in a relevant field (typically a 1- to 2-year program in electrical engineering technology, power systems, or a closely related area).
- Experience: At least 2 years and up to 3 years of practical experience in electrical power equipment design, installation, or related technical roles.
- Language: Proficiency in English (spoken and written) for clear communication, documentation, and team coordination.
